FEMA is introducing the CRS Webinar Series targeted to new communities that are not yet participating in the Community Rating System of the National Flood Insurance Program as well as to local government staff with some experience in the CRS. As the seventh in the series on environmental evaluations, this webinar will assist USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service conservation planners, partners, and technical service providers to understand the importance of Natural Areas, Scenic Beauty, and Wild and Scenic Rivers, and how to properly analyze and document existing conditions and the effects of planned conservation actions. Primary topics include: legal foundations, information/data sources, tools, mitigation measures, and documentation requirements including examples.
