Shuttered Venue Operators Grant Application Opens on April 8th
The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has launched a landing page for the Shuttered Venue Operators Grant (SVOG) application portal in anticipation of opening applications for the critical economic relief program on Thursday, April 8th.
Prior to the official SVOG application opening, the SBA will host a national informational webinar to highlight the application process for potential eligible entities on Tuesday, March 30th from 2:30pm to 4:00pm.

PPP Webinars Continue
This is a reminder that the Vermont District Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) now has two Paycheck Protection Program weekly webinars. The PPP First and Second Draw webinar is held on Wednesdays at 9:00am and covers options, terms, eligibility, and the application process. The weekly PPP Forgiveness webinar is on Tuesdays at 11:30am and offers an in-depth look at the forgiveness process.

 

ACCD Weekly Webinar

ACCD will host the next weekly pandemic information for Vermont businesses webinar on Wednesday, January 20th. ACCD, the Department of Health, and the Department of Public Safety will provide updates and be available to answer your questions. Businesses can submit questions ahead of time via an online form.

Shuttered Venues Operators Grant (SVOG) Program

The Small Business Administration’s Shuttered Venue Operators Grant (SVOG) Program includes $15 billion in grants to shuttered venues, including live venue operators and promoters, theatrical producers, live performing arts organization operators, museum operators, motion picture theater operators, and talent representatives. Although the SVOG is not active yet, organizations can prepare in the meantime. The SBA recently released an FAQ guidance document to help answer questions here.

SBA Targeted Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) Advance Program

The SBA has begun rolling out the Targeted Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) Advance, which provides additional funds to businesses in low-income communities. Applicants do not need to take any action at this time, as SBA will reach out to those who qualify. All communications from SBA will be sent from an official government email with an @sba.gov ending.

COVID-19 Stimulus Equity Fund: Open through March 1st

The COVID-19 Stimulus Equity Fund is Vermont’s relief fund for people who were excluded from the federal stimulus due to their immigration status. Applications are now being accepted through March 1st for those who were ineligible to receive a 2020 federal coronavirus stimulus payment due to immigration status.

Save Our Stages (SOS) Grants

The CAA includes a new $15 billion grant program called Save Our Stages (“SOS Grants”) through which the U.S. Small Business Administration will provide aid to struggling live venue operators and related businesses. The grants will offer a critical lifeline for the nation’s performing arts venues, movie theatres and museums. Read more about the program and eligibility.
