ADA & Civil Rights

Central Regional Planning Commission (CVRPC) operates without regard to race, color, and national origin as stipulated in Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Title VI states that: “No person in the United States shall, on the grounds of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefit of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving federal financial assistance.” Subsequent federal legislation has led to further protections under Title VI based upon age, gender, and disability, whether mental or physical.

The CVRPC strives to ensure nondiscriminatory access to all programs, services, and activities by all interested stakeholders and to ensure that no person is excluded from participating in, denied the benefits of, or subjected to either intentional or unintentional discrimination under any program, service, or activity receiving federal assistance or funding.

Any grievance should be submitted as soon as possible, but note that Federal and State law require that the complaint be filed within 180 days of the alleged incident of discrimination.

Alternate means of filing complaints, such as personal interviews or tape recordings are available for those unable to submit a written complaint form. Please contact us if this applies to you.
