Farms and Markets

The 23 towns in the Central Vermont Region have over 100 farms that produce fruits, vegetables, herbs, grains, livestock, poultry, dairy products, maple syrup and other food for local consumers. Many producers sell directly to consumers through farmers markets, farm stands and community-supported agriculture (CSAs); others sell through wholesale distribution channels or directly to stores or institutions. A regional and statewide food system needs to support all of these markets.

We hope to offer a comprehensive collection of lists from different organizations that give information about producers who want to sell directly to consumers and those who sell to businesses.  Many organizations throughout the state offer listings of local-food producers. Here are a few:
